It’s time for a new year to fill in completely. We take you to the expected trends for 2021, with which we want to inspire you and stimulate your creativity. And, of course, flowers cannot be missed…
Expose & Compose
We already saw them in 2020: special decorative pieces as part of your interior. Think of artistic vases and flower pots, glassware in whimsical shapes, and abstract line drawings. Pink roses are also very trendy. In 2021, these creative pieces will have an even more prominent place in our interior. Art Director Ferdinand Belfor explains: “What we will see more and more is the joining of showpieces into a styling composition. So, the deliberate bringing together of objects that form an artistic representation. Think of unique pieces such as a vase containing an experimental bouquet, an abstract art object made of glass or clay, and a dried palm leaf in a hand-blown vase. Put them together in an exciting composition, and you have a performance that you can watch for a long time. The nice thing about this style is that it doesn’t have to be functional. Your unique representation makes the atmosphere in your interior authentic – perhaps even including objects with a personal meaning. Materials that we will see a lot in the coming year are ceramics, colored glass, and recycled materials that have a low impact on the environment.’
A Second Life
Extending the life of our purchases is becoming increasingly popular. Right now, in an exciting period that is dominated by ‘turning the helm,’ we are more conscious than ever of our purchases. We want to make choices that contribute to a better future. Fortunately, more and more companies, like Bloompost, are dealing with this inventively these days. For example, clothing is made from recycled materials, and recycled materials are increasingly used in the residential industry. Because we like to motivate you to make conscious choices, we help you get the most out of your flowers. Besides the fact that you can enjoy our fresh bouquets for about twelve days, we want to challenge you to extend the life of your forest extra. Have you ever thought about drying your flowers after your bunch has finished blooming? This way, your flowers will last a while, and you can enjoy them longer. And speaking of flowers… what about your vase cabinet? Swap vases with your neighbors, look for unique items at the thrift store, or give the vases covered in dust with you a second life. This way, you or someone else can enjoy it longer.
Be Your Creator
The need to create is growing. The stay-at-home period has put us in digital gear, creating a focus on our own home and immediate environment. Last year was all about self-reliance and letterbox gifts, and in 2021, we will do more ourselves than ever. DIY, cooking, gardening, and modeling – you are the maker. By being creative, you can completely escape from your everyday activities, and you give your mind the space to develop new skills.
